Coaches

Coach Burnham is entering his 10th year as a member of Cienega Track and Field, however this is his first year as Head Coach. He has been the distance coach over that time and is also the Head Cross Country coach. He has coached numerous state qualifying teams and individuals, a sectional championship team, and multiple school record holders.

Coach Burnham is a full-time member of the Cienega teaching staff in the Science department. He currently teaches AP Environmental Science, Honors Biology, and Ecology. He attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he earned a BS in Ecology and Systematic Biology in 1993. He then earned his teaching credential in Secondary Education from Pima CC in 2006. Coach Burnham has Level 1 USATF Certification. 

Coach Klick is a graduate of Berlin High School (Wisconsin) in 1986 where he participated in basketball and track. In track, he held school records in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay and triple jump. He was East Central Conference champion in the 100m (2x), 200m, 4x100m relay (2x) and conference team champion (3x), WIAA regional and sectional champion in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m (2x), 3 time WIAA state  qualifier with a total of 6 medals including ‘86 100m state champion, ‘86 200m silver, ‘85 and ‘86 4x100m state champion (3 state records) and 1986 state team champion. 

Coach Klick received a track scholarship to Minnesota State - Mankato. During that time he was the 1987 Dominoes Midwest regional indoor 300m champion and a member of the Division II nationals qualifying and school record holding 4x100m relay. He also participated in sprints from 60m-400m. 

Coach Klick has 23 years of coaching experience in sprints and relays along with personal training for speed and agility for multi-sports. He has coached sprints and relays at various age levels and includes school record setting and All-American performances at Neenah HS (WI) boys and girls program, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh mens program, Neenah YMCA track youth program, Appleton West (WI) boys program and Cienega HS (2016-18).
